Merrill Tool & Machine believes precision is achieved by coupling talent and technology to produce components at exacting tolerances. Our capabilities allow machining of parts as small as a half-pound in weight to those of excessively large size and weighing in excess of 100,000 pounds. Our precision machining operations include; all types of grinding, turning, multi-axis milling, low-thermal machining and boring in extremely large capacity envelopes and multiple orientations.
Precision Machining
Our precision machined components are held to very tight geometric tolerances with extremely fine microfinishes to meet customer-specific requirements. To minimize programming time and eliminate data entry errors, we offer solid-model machining from almost any file format.
Precision Turning
We offer a full range of turning services utilizing CNC turning technology. Our vertical turning centers handle parts in excess of 145” diameter and utilize live tooling to produce complex components in a single operation.
Precision Milling
We can profile mill complex 3D surfaces, on one of the largest 5-axis machining centers in the United States and hold critical geometric tolerances between features. We exercise 5 axis machining envelopes up to 122" x 433" x 102" tall.
Precision Grinding
Grinding services include horizontal and vertical, CNC, jig and surface grinding. Our capabilities allow for handling challenges required in the most exacting industries such as aerospace, defense and chemical processing applications.
